Sounds great right- Neutrality is in the name!!!
This is yet another manipulative wordplay to hide nefarious intentions of the agenda-
they claim it is to protect you from internet fast lanes and pay for site access- but these are red herrings, they have never happened before now and this is not the real intention of the agenda
ask yourself relevant questions-
Why do the companies that will be regulated want net neutrality?
Why are small competitors against it?
Why are the very networks who are censoring content (facebook, twitter etc..) the ones championing NN?
The internet is the greatest tool for exposure of the government that the world has ever seen and the Government now wants to take regulatory control down to the service provider level
It boggles my mind that people who identify as anarchists and claim to hate the imperialist government would support giving them the ability to regulate ISPs
The truth is that in the few years that we have had net neutrality we have had the LEAST neutral internet we have ever seen- Platforms and providers are picking sides and manipulating content to push their political agenda while censoring content that is counter to their ideology
so what about Countries that have already passed Net Neutrality laws?
Brazil has passed it- you know what happened there? “now service providers are accountable for content published by users and must comply with court orders to remove libelous or offensive material.”
In Chile they have now made it so that big corps cannot make deals with mobile operators to offer the most basic of their services free (like tmobile offering free netfilx on mobile devices)
“Chile is a country with low penetration to mobile net at around only 24.8%- By blocking data free access Chile prevents its citizens from fully experiencing the usefulness of mobile internet and restricts them from previewing it before purchasing data”
In the Netherlands: “they banned mobile telephone operators from blocking or charging consumers extra for using communications services that are Internet-based. As a result, mobile operators there raised charges overall to compensate for revenue lost due to the restrictions”
THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT TRYING TO PROTECT YOU- THEY ARE TRYING TO GAIN CONTROL OVER THE VERY TOOL WE USE TO EXPOSE THEM-
